Rocco has developed solid experience in banking and finance law, with a particular focus on banking documentation and key retail and corporate instruments, including derivatives and ISDA documentation. He has advised companies and market participants in transactions and disputes related to swaps, securities trading, insurance contracts and alternative finance structures, also providing counsel on private international law and cross-border contractual matters.

Alongside his financial practice, Rocco provides assistance in the corporate sector, advising on the structuring and management of both ordinary and extraordinary transactions. In the real estate field, he supports clients in the acquisition and disposal of complex real estate assets and portfolios (including the hospitality sector), also through M&A transactions, due diligence activities and related litigation.

He has also developed significant experience in generational succession and family wealth management, with particular attention to inheritance matters and the civil and international implications of asset planning and protection, including through the establishment of trusts.

A lawyer admitted before the Italian Supreme Court (Avvocato Cassazionista) and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, he adopts a comparative approach with a strong focus on the international aspects of legal matters. He has held academic appointments as an adjunct professor in business and company law and new technologies, and has been involved in training and seminar initiatives on alternative finance and corporate governance issues.

Over the course of his career, he has held prominent judicial and institutional roles, including Deputy Honorary Public Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Turin and Bankruptcy Trustee appointed by the Court of Rome. He also served, as a representative of the Italian State, on the Joint State–Region Commission for Sicily (a body of constitutional relevance), and acted as Legal Advisor to the Minister for Relations with Parliament, working with institutional and parliamentary bodies on legislative and regulatory matters.
