EU Law
We assist companies, international groups and public bodies in the interpretation and application of European Union law, supporting them in managing regulatory obligations and exercising the rights provided under the EU legal framework.
Our team provides qualified and ongoing assistance, both in advisory and contentious matters (before administrative authorities and courts), at national and European level.
Our areas of expertise include:
- Competition law, with particular reference to anticompetitive agreements and abuse of dominant position (Articles 101 and 102 TFEU), merger control, and State aid (Articles 107 and 108 TFEU);
- Trade and economic relations with non-EU countries, including customs matters and trade defence measures;
- Application of the fundamental freedoms of the internal market (freedom of establishment, free movement of services and capital) and the free movement of goods within the EU;
- Regulatory compliance, including taxation, environmental law, agriculture and fisheries, industry, and regulated and supervised markets;
- Assessment of the compatibility of national legislation with EU law and its coordination with the EU legal framework;
- Assistance and representation in administrative proceedings before the European Commission and, at domestic level, before public bodies and independent authorities (including the Italian Competition Authority – AGCM);
- Assistance and representation in EU law matters before Italian courts (tax, administrative, civil and criminal) and before the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union, in both direct actions against acts, conduct or omissions of EU institutions and preliminary ruling proceedings pursuant to Article 267 TFEU.
Our goal is to provide clients with practical legal tools to operate effectively within the European regulatory framework, reducing regulatory risk and supporting informed decision-making in complex and constantly evolving environments.
