Andrea Neri has over twenty years of experience as an expert in EU and antitrust law, assisting clients in numerous proceedings involving restrictive agreements, abuse of dominant position and economic dependence, merger control notifications, as well as antitrust compliance programmes and initiatives.
He has also developed solid expertise in unfair commercial practices and consumer protection, together with in-depth knowledge of regulated sectors, particularly transport, credit and energy.
He also advises on State aid and foreign subsidies regulation (FSR), public procurement and concessions, and internal market matters.
He regularly represents clients in proceedings before the Italian administrative courts (challenging decisions of the Italian Competition Authority – AGCM and other independent authorities), before civil courts (in private antitrust enforcement actions), and before the Court of Justice of the European Union (preliminary rulings and direct annulment actions).
Previously, he worked as a référendaire at the General Court of the European Communities in Luxembourg.
